Healthy eating menu helps you make the right choice!
HEALTHY EATING MEN
HEALTHY EATING MENU NOT ONLY HELPS PEOPLE WHO ARE HEALTH CONSCIOUS TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE OF DISHES, BUT ALSO HELPS THE VEGETARIANS AND DIABETICS TO EAT WELL!
Menu is defined by some dictionaries as "A list of the dishes that are served or that can be ordered, as in a restaurant." Menu literally means any list or order of events available whether in a computer, TVs, or in mobile telephones top mention a few.
However, in this article, we are concerned with the dishes available or can be ordered at a given moment in a restaurant, canteen, beer parlour and hotels.
As far as my website is concerned, menu here is defined as that list that gives you the freedom and passport to make the right choice of diet or dish that you will eat to obtain not only fitness, but good health and long life!
I want my readers to note that my website is a specialist one not just general website that deal with general junk food stuff eaten by Nigerians or peoples from other world nationalities! Please get it right, eating to gain fitness, good health and achieve long life is the motto of this website.
My site is not in competition with other websites that feature all kinds and types of food stuff. To achieve good health in eating, both the cooking and presentations are equally very important. Take for example, about Moi moi, some of the people who cook them don't even bother about the ways they are cooked and don't even know that presentation of any food, hygienically is important!
I have seen many moi moi presented in some websites online and they look not only disgusting but unappetizing and look unhealthy! You should compare my type of moi moi cooking and presentation with any other you may see on various websites on the internet! Surely the difference is clear!
I will continue to say this, the days are gone when people overload themselves with heavy junk foods or dishes! These days, you have to look well into any given menu in a restaurant or an hotel and chose only the best well presented, well cooked light meals for your good health and long life!I must warn you that Obesity is real and the scourge of every nation these days!
I have made extensive researches about moi moi and I can tell you that it is a great meal on itself not necessarily a side dish to be eaten with rice or salad as such. You can safely and cleaningly eat it with all kinds of vegetables to achieve healthy eating nutritious protein rich diet second to none!
It is a good healthy eating meal for the young and old, for vegetarians, diabetics and weight-watchers as well! Many cooks who parade moi moi on their various websites don't even know why they should eat or why they are eating it! They think that banging ground beans with all sorts of condiments is the best way to show their readers that they know how to cook moi moi! This is no longer the case! As Nigerians say "Shine your eyes" and be choosy of what you order from the menu handed to you in a restaurant or an hotel.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE DISHES ONE CAN FIND IN A MENU IN AN AVERAGE NIGERIAN RESTAURANTS OR HOTELS.
Naturally most restaurants and hotels in Nigeria and in several parts of the world display their menu leaflets or booklets on every dinning table. Or the menu sheet can be obtained from the receptionists or waiters.
These restaurants and hotels' menu do not naturally tell you which dish is healthy and which is not. It is you who will look into the menu and choose healthy eating diets conducive to your good health.
In order to help their customers, restaurants and hotels usually show some codes or some kind of numbers and descriptions of the dishes they have available.

Menu codes usually display the main and side dishes as well as the code or local names and their prices. The main dishes on offer in an average Nigerian restaurants are:
Rice, Beans, Cooked yams, Fried yams; fried ripped plantain,Moi moi, Salad, Jollof Rice, Boiled yams; Yam pottage, Tuwon Shinkafa, Pounded yams, Amala; Eba, Akpu, Ground Rice etc. Some of these have to be eaten with rich stews and rich soups such as Egusi, Ogbono,Okra, Ofe Nsala to Ewedu and of course, Edika-ekong the mother of all Nigerian healthy eating soups. These dishes need no descriptions as such. These dishes are in regular offer during Lunch as well as during dinner time.
Nigerian menu includes and displays various kinds of pepper soups, cooked with goat, lamb and cow meat, chicken, liver, tripe; vegetables, spices and seasonings and regarded as appetizers.
In an average restaurant in Igbo speaking areas of Nigeria, special delicacies such as "Isiewu, Nkwobi, Ngwongwo, Ugba with pormo or with Okporoko" are served and they can be very expensive indeed. But as far as healthy eating is concerned, I personally regard them as junk diets no matter how expensive they may be! Of course, fresh fish pepper soups are also on offer and can be a better healthy choice than all the above mentioned lot!
Frankly speaking, Nigerians are not noted for enjoying desserts after heavy meals. However, Ice cream, pineapples, paw paw, oranges, apples and bananas are always on offer but believe me only a few Nigerians will go for them after eaten Eba or Amala with their dedicated or faithful companions such as Egusi and Ewedu soups!
These are the different dishes displayed in an average Nigerian restaurants and hotels in Nigeria and Nigerian restaurants abroad or in any part of the world. The restaurants owners have displayed their various foods, diets or dishes on offer, it is then your duty to go through the list and select healthy eating diets conducive to your health!
