Lime pepper steak is a succulent healthy and juicy beef steak meal!

JUICY AND SUCCULENT BEEF STEAK IS ALWAYS  GREAT FOR WEEK END LUNCH OR DINNER MEALS.

I can't tell you how much I look forward to eating the above lunch or dinner at week ends. I love cooking this meal to be eaten with foods like roasted potatoes, parsnip,and assorted vegetables.

LIME PEPPER STEAK RECIPES:

This particular meal is real nutritious dish. Thepreparation time is approximately 15 minutes while the baking time is about 45 minutes. However, all things being equal, the dish will be ready in approximately within one hour.

If your piece of steak is thick, you may need to cook this meal up to 6 minutes longer and check the steak after 45 minutes and if it is not soft and tender, the way you would like it, continue to bake it for an additional 6 minutes and re-check again.

RECIPES/INGREDIENTS/PREPARATION FOR 8 SERVINGS:

1.   2 lbs of round steak

2.   2 C of white rice

3.   2 C + 2 T of beef broth

4.   1/2 C of lime juice

5.   1 t of cilantro + 1 t of oregano

6.   1 t  of ground cumin

7.   1/2 t of salt  +1/4 t of pepper

8.    4 garlic  cloves, chopped  + 1 onion, halved and sliced thin

9.   1 yellow bell pepper, cored, seeded and cut into strips

10.   1 Green bell pepper, cored, seeded,  and cut into strips

11.   1 red bell pepper, cored, seeded, and cut into strips.

Always bear in mind that as long as you have all the ingredients handy and ready, the cooking is relatively easy.

To begin with, first, allow the oven to preheat to 450 degrees.

Then, grease the the bottom and sides of a cast iron Dutch oven with olive oil or vegetable oil.

Now, place the rice and broth into the pan and stir to coat the rice well.

pour the lime juice into a mixing bowl and stir in the cilantro, oregano and cumin until well blended in well.

Now place the steak into the pan and season with the salt and pepper.

Then, pour half of the lime juice mixture over the steak and also place the garlic and onions onto the steak.

Now scatter or sprinkle the bell peppers over the top and pour the remaining lime juice mixture over the top and cover and bake for 45 minutes or until the steak is well cooked, soft and tender the way you like it.

Suggested foods to go with the steak can start with roasted potatoes,and rice; and vegetables like runner beans, carrots mushrooms, broccoli, spinach and lots more of your choice foods.
