In British and some European supermarkets, slaughter houses and corner shops, horses' meat are being fraudulently sold as Beef! Wonders shall never end! Little did I know that I paid my hard earned cash for horse meat instead of beef which I required during 2012 Christmas celebration.
I paid a whopping £17 for about 8lbs of what I thought was beef steak. We did not cook or roast the meat on the Christmas day because we roasted Turkey.
When we roasted the so called horse/beef, we all noticed that the meat was not as soft as the usual beef steak we cook. It was like 'LLama' meat sold in Nigeria hard and tough top eat. We never suspected and anything but it was in February that the fraud was exposed!
It was very big headline News that these fraudulent supermarkets have been selling horses meat to us and made us to believe they were beef steaks.
After the fraudulent sales were exposed and horses meat removed, we later bought the real beef steak and quickly realised that the difference was clear!
