Mixed vegetable salad recipes is a very healthy eating dish!

The beauty of any salad dish is the fact that is low in calories but most importantly, they are very essential to maintaining  good health.Having this type of diet at least three times a week can help you loose some weight if you one of those weight watchers. If you add some fruits to the salad, that will help you to achieve the necessary 5 portions of fruit and vegetables you need every day.

RECIPES/ PREPARATION/ INGREDIENTS FOR 4 SERVINGS OR MORE:

1.    2 cups of bite-size pieces of broccoli flowerets and stem

2.    2 cups cauliflworerets

3.    2 1/2 medium  carrots thinly sliced(3/4 cups)

4.    2 cups Cherry tomatoes (cut in halves)

5.    1 (10 ounce) package of frozen peas

6.    1/4 cup of nonfat plain yogurt

7.    1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise or salad dressing

8.    1/4  tbsp of  salt + 1/4 of pepper

9.    1 tbsp of lemon juice

As usual, once you have all the ingredients ready cooking is always easy less time consuming.

To start with, heat 1 inch of water to boiling in 2 quart saucepan. Then add cauliflowers and broccoli.Heat to boiling; reduce heat, cover and cook for 5 minutes: then drain. Follow up with rinsing with cold water, and drain.

Rinse the frozen peas with cold water and drain.

Finally, mix mayonnaise, yogurt, lemon juice; salt and pepper in large glass or plastic bowl. Add cauliflowerets, broccoli,peas and carrots; toss.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.Stir in tomatoes until the mixed vegetable salad recipes are made.These are the ways to prepare  the mixed vegetable salad recipes.  Organic fruits and vegetables!
