THE SECRETS OF SAVING MONEY DURING LUNCH OR AT LUNCH IS REVEALED IN THIS ARTICLE:

There are many people who do not know the ways and means through which they can save lots of money  at lunch. The respective ideas you are about to read here in this article will change your life as well.

We know it is great to eat breakfast before you leave your home in the morning for work or for numerous other activities. However, Lunch is as much importance as breakfast because lunch will sustain you until dinner time in the evening.

For many  parents and families these days in United Kingdom especially those who have children of school and college ages, the prices of school lunches are now high that only a few parents can afford to meet such outrageous costs.

The prices the  pupils and students going out to buy lunch during lunch breaks are not only inhibiting but also drastically expensive. But the worst things about buying or eating in a 'Takeaway or Fast foods' restaurants are equally bad and expensive too. But the thing is that these fast foods are not nutritious at all and many are regarded as junk foods.

YOU CAN SAVE LOADS OF YOUR HARD EARNED BY TAKING THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

 1.        MAKE AND TAKE YOUR OWN LUNCH:

It is relatively easier and cheaper to make your own lunch and take it along with you to eat at lunch or during lunch breaks. For parents, it is equally cheaper and healthy to make the lunch for your kids at school and colleges and ask them to take them along while going to school.

Look at it this way, a plate of rice with one piece of meat in a West Indian,  Greek, Chinese, or Indian restaurant will cost your kid at least from £2.99-£3.50.

Your kid may not buy a plate of rice at Fast foods restaurants like McDonald, Pizza hut, or K.F.C, but this will definitely not be cheaper than £3.00. If you have 3 children at school or at college, calculate how much your children would be spending a day for lunch. Let's say (£9x5=£45). That is Monday to Friday!

What about yourselves parents? You may be spending as much if you really want to be frugal. If all things are equal,  two of you and your 3 children would be spending on the average £85 per week on lunch alone.

With that sum of money, you and your children will enjoy good lunch prepared by yourself for 3 weeks! Imagine one pot of savory rice (1lb) packet of long grain rice with all ingredients plus a packet of boneless chicken breasts from Iceland, Tesco or Morrison  will cost you as much as £4-£5.

Or you can choose to eat a full chicken. The family will enjoy this type of meal for 4-5 days and will not cost more than £10! You can see how much you can save in a week.

 2.      MAKE YOUR OWN SANDWICHES:

You can't imagine how much you and your family can save in a week by maaking or taking your own lunch to school or to work. It is not only that this is cheap, but the fact that you are eating the sandwiches you made by yourself for your kids saves you from food poison.

The most exciting aspect of it is that You have choices. You might want egg sandwich while your children might prefer chicken or cheese sandwiches and in the comfort of your home, you can make comfortable and enjoying sandwiches for the entire family to enjoy at rock bottom price.

Have you ever eaten stale sandwiches you bought for about £2.50?  If you haven't, I have and I threw it into the dust bin and swore never to buy such rotten and stale sandwiches again! Since then, I have never eaten any sandwiches made by some one else at any shop.

 3.     HAVE AND DRINK YOUR OWN WATER :

You can comfortably fill an empty bottle with tap water. You can add flavoring crystals into them. Or you can add ice cubes into the water bottle especially during the summer. You and your kids  don't need to buy water no matter how cheap they are. Most of the bottled water you drink are not better than the tap water in your home.

4.      THERE IS A NECESSITY FOR ICE PACKS ESPECIALLY DURING SUMMER TO KEEP YOUR LUNCH FROM SPOILING:

These insulated bags can be very handy, economical and cheap to buy. But most importantly, will help you to preserve  and protect your sandwiches, yogurt, meat, chicken or any other kind of food you wish to carry along with you.

5.      AVOID VENDING MACHINES CHOCOLATE BARS, CANDIES OR GO CHIPS AND KETCHUP WRAPS:

As much as possible, refrain from buying all these as above. They are not all that healthy eating. A home made cake, buns or puff puff, chin chin and buns if you are a Nigerian will save you a lot and also give you most of the nourishment you may need.

6.       BUY ASSORTED FRUITS FOR THE FAMILY AT LEAST  YOU AND YOUR KIDS CAN HAVE AN APPLE A DAY. IT IS CHEAPER:

You can buy assorted fruits  apples to bananas, plums, peaches, oranges and keep them in the fridge so that every body can make his or her own  choices of fruits. This can save lots of money indeed.

We have to accept that lunch doesn't have to come from the school restaurant or cafeteria or the Fast food joints, KFC, McDonald's, Subway or the likes around the corner to be good.

A home made food, snacks or sandwiches will always be healthier, tasty, cheaper and more trustworthy than all the junk foods from foreign food joints.

Now you know and believe me that you can save lots of money at lunch once you decide to cook or provide them by yourself instead of buying them from the shops, restaurants and the likes.    Save money on shopping!
