Sweet sour chicken recipes are generally low in calories!

   Sweet sour chicken recipes are always ideal lunch and dinner meals served in many restaurants and hotels in every city of the world.It is equally one of the most favourite dishes or cuisines eaten in most tropical holiday resorts.

They good thing about the meal itself is the fact that this delicasy is normally  cooked with chicken breasts and every body love to eat chicken breasts because they are boneless and also because they have low calories.

It is an ideal diet for weight watchers as well! It is equally fat-free diet second to none. To make it sweet and sour, you have to sort out in advance the sort of ingredients that will give the meal the sweet and sour tastes. Once you have sorted that that out the next thing is to decide the number of people that will participate in the eating as well as determine the number of servings.

Cooking time can always be about 30-35 minutes.

INGREDIENTS FOR SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN RECIPES for 4 people and 4 servings:

1.. 4 lbs large boneless chicken breasts

2.. 1lb large carrots (peeled, washed and sliced)

3.. 1 large onion  or 1lb of spring onions(chopped or trimmed and sliced)

4.. 2 red and green sweet peppers (chopped)

5.. 1/2 garlic clove cut into pieces or crushed ( You must use garlic moderately or sparingly else it has the tendency to spoil the taste of the dish)

6.. 500g of bean sprouts

7..2 bunches of spinach or green ( finely chopped or trimmed and sliced)

8.. 1 large can of pineapple chunks in natural juice,   + half drained juice.

9.. 2 table spoonful of  tomato puree

10.. 5ml of vinegar

11.. A dash of red wine  + 2tbsp of soy sauce

12.. 2 tbsp of normal flour or corn meal flour

13..2 tbsp  olive oil + oxo or knor cubes, + mixed spices + salt to taste.

Cooking is always easy once you make the necessary preparations by washing all the ingredients that need to be washed. The chicken breasts must be cut according to the sizes of your choice.

Follow up with the frying pan heated and on low heat or flame. Then all the ingredients including the the carrots, bean sprouts, onions. corn or normal baking flour and continue to mix and stir continiously. Add the olive oil, soy sauce, chunks of pineapples and juice, vinegar and tomato puree; and red wine etc.

You can of course boil the carrots, runner beans and bean sprouts separately. Which ever way, make sure you serve the dish hot after cooking.
