Vegetarian rolls recipes is a pleasant healthy eating side dish!


It doesn't matter what kind or type of vegetarian you may be, the most important thing to note is to know the type of foods, fruits and vegetables to eat to keep you healthy, fit and in good health.

Some vegetarians can be sheepish in choosing what kind of food to eat. I know some Asian friends who continue to eat the same chapati day in day out with little or no vegetables and fruits. This is wrong if you are looking for good health.

It will be wise to choose varieties of foods from any kind of fruits, from mango, pineapples, apples, plums, prunes, dates, oranges, pears and avocado pears to mention a few. You must form the habit of supplementing with these fruits for sparkling health.

In case of other types of food sources, choose from beans, vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, spinach, carrots, raw and cooked, whole grain; mushrooms, fluted pumpkin leaves, cabbage, runner beans as well as nuts such Brazil nuts, walnuts, legumes.

This vegetarian rolls recipes  is an ideal side dish and excellent for all vegetarians.


1.   1 t baking powder

2.   1/4 C warm water +1/2 packet of dry active yeast

3.   2 1/2 C unbleached flour + 2 T of sugar

4.   1/2  teaspoon baking soda

5.   3/4 t salt + 1 T butter, melted

6.   4 T unsalted butter, broken in pieces, chilled

7.   1 C buttermilk

It is easy to make vegetarian rolls recipes as long as you have all the ingredients ready and handy.

To start, first, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Then cut in the pieces of chilled butter with your hands until flour mixture becomes crumby.

Place the warm water in a small mixing bowl and add the yeast and let stand for at least 2-5 minutes.

Now stir, making sure all the yeast is dissolved and well blended.

Add the yeast to the flour mixture and pour in the buttermilk and stir just to moisten.

Then cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator at least 1 hour.

If you want to make the rolls at a later date the dough will stay good in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

To continue, move the top oven rack to one third of the way from the top of the oven and preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Follow up by lightly flour a flat surface and place the dough on the floured surface and knead about 5 or 6 times.

The roll out the dough to about a 1/2 in thick and cut out 3 in rolls with a cutter or by using a glass rim.

Then grease a cookie sheet with a non stick cooking spray.

Finally, use the melted butter to lightly brush the top of each roll and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
