HEALTHY, HANDY VEGETABLES
HEALTHY, HANDY VEGETABLES THAT ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE MAKES HEALTHY EATING AND COOKING EASY.
The purpose of listing Healthy, handy vegetables is to help you to know the type of healthy eating vegetables you can eat or use for your healthy eating meal. Some of these vegetables can be eaten on their own or can be eaten with any kind of food, dish or diet you may be cooking at any given time or day.
These vegetables may be selected fresh or frozen and stored in some convenient places like fridge or freezer until you are about to do some cooking!
The worst thing that can happen to vegetables, fresh or frozen is 'over-cooking'. Over-cooking destroys not only the nutrients but destroys many other healthy eating values they are supposed to give to the body. Take for example, vegetables like broccoli, spinach, asparagus and Brussels sprouts can totally become useless and loose their food value more than other vegetables once they are overcooked!
It is always advisable to eat fresh vegetables but where they can't be easily available, frozen ones could do. Any frozen vegetables must be eaten within a few days, that may be a maximum of two days. Fresh vegetables must equally be eaten within a day or two and a maximum of three days. It must be stored in the fridge if needs to be eaten within three days or more.
