THE MEDICINAL AND NUTRITIONAL VALUES OF BRUSSELS SPROUTS ARE NOT ONLY UNCOUNTABLE BUT OF IMMENSE BENEFITS TO HUMANITY ESPECIALLY IN PREVENTING MANY DISEASES SUCH AS CANCER.

Brussels sprouts are rich in many valuable nutrients such as carbohydrates, sugar, soluble and insoluble fibre; sodium, minerals; fatty acids, and amino acids. Brussels sprouts are the best source of Vitamin C and Vitamin K.
They are equally, the most excellent source of numerous nutrients including folate, Vitamin A, manganese, dietary fibre, potassium, Vitamin B6; and thiamin (vitamin B1) and a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids, iron, phosphorus; protein, magnesium, riboflavin (vitaminB2); Vitamin E, copper, and calcium".

Sulfur is connected with both the smell and taste of Brussels sprouts, and too much sulfur aroma is often associated with overcooking of this vegetable.
The worst thing you can do to Brussels sprouts is to overcook them! If you over cook them, not only that they lose their nutritional values and taste but will begin to emit the unpleasant sulfur smell associated with overcooked cruciferous vegetables.
Brussels sprouts can be eaten raw but it is best to steam cook them for at least 5 minutes. But before you steam or cook them, it is better to trim them and leave them for a few minutes before steaming.
Another way of making them to cook easily is to cut them into 2 or 4 and steam or cook for 5 or 10 minutes for healthy eating diet. By this way, you can avoid the smell and taste but enjoy a rich medicinal and nutritional vegetable second to none!
Brussels sprouts also prevent Alzheimer's disease or delay it for a good number of years. How can anyone hate to eat this mother of all healthy eating vegetables?
You can eat Brussels sprouts with honey, gravy and in combination of or with other vegetables such as ugu leaves, carrots, mushroom, broccoli,Brussels sprout leaves, potatoes,green bananas,green and ripped plantains, rice etc.
It is not really a vegetable eaten only on Christmas day. For healthy eating, it must be eaten all year round!
