Ready For A Nigerian Party?

Invited to a Nigerian party? Nigerians can be over generous with foods and drinks during parties!

Nigerians as people are very friendly, very accommodating, and warm-hearted and have large and huge appetite for good food!

When Nigerians are holding parties, you will be sure there will be lots of delicious, nutritious, tasty; mouth-watering and finger-licking diets or foods made available both for the invited and uninvited guests!

People including Europeans who have had the privileges of attending average Nigerian parties will bear me witness! I can never forget the first birthday party I attended in London then as a poor student struggling to make ends meet.

The party was my first time of drinking champagne. On the first day, I had one bottle to myself! The party lasted 7 days after. I was told that about 2000 chickens, 50 goats, 30 ducks; 10 pigs and 50 turkeys were slaughtered and roasted. Assorted foods were served hot and cold at any given moment 24 hours for seven days! There were several cartons of drinks including 500 cartons of champagne.

As a poor student, I repeat, I finally drank five bottles of champagne and ate like a king through out the seven days the party lasted. The party was held in honour of a young lady from the Northern part of Nigeria by her boyfriend. Surely, it was the first paradise I found myself in London. Like all Nigerian parties, I did not pay a penny!

The generous, liberal minded attitudes of Nigerians are second to none in the whole world and I’m proud of them! If you have never been to an average Nigerian wedding, Naming ceremony, Christening, political launching or even funeral ceremonies, you are missing a lot.

In fact, I advise you to try and attend a Nigerian party!

There are always assorted mountain of foods and most of them healthy balanced meals! You can eat, eat and eat; drink and drink your self to stupor and still have lots to take home if you wish.

The most exciting side of all is that you have nothing to pay unlike in the so-called western world especially Europe where people are selfish, lukewarm, and coldblooded! You eat, drink as much as you like at the expense of the celebrant! Nigerians say, such celebrant is “Declaring Surplus!”

The exuberant, happy go-lucky attitudes of Nigerians can astound an average visitor to Nigeria be it in Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, Benin, Enugu; Owerri or Kaduna to mention a few!
